112 is the emergency number in Sweden. You should only call 112 if you are in an emergency situation and need immediate help.
Where will the conference take place?
The Conference will take place at Hotel Gothia Towers, Swedish Exhibition and Congress Centre (Svenska Massan) from 8th -10th June, 2022.
Where will the workshops take place?
The workshops will take place at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Gothenburg. You can find a map here
Will the participants who registered virtually also attend the workshops?
The workshops are for the participants attending the conference in-person only.

What is the registration fee?
All conference registration fees are listed on the registration page of the Conference website.
When does registration open?
Registration opened on 9 February 2022 for both in-person and virtual participation. Participants should register online.
Can I register in person at the Conference Venue?
Yes, registration is accepted on-site, however, we encourage you to register early to receive valuable conference information.
Can I get a discount when I register early?
Yes, there is an “early bird” discount to those who register for the conference before 30th April, 2022.
I tried to pay for my registration with a debit card, and my attempts at payment have repeatedly failed?
All payments should be made in Swedish Kronor (kr/SEK). All bank transfer charges in connection with transferring fees are to be paid by the delegate. No personal, company or Euro-cheques will be accepted.
Payment can be made by the following methods:
Credit card – Visa, MasterCard. Please note that all credit card payments are made through a secure and encrypted online payment gateway. For overseas payments to Sweden only Credit cards – Visa, MasterCard will be accepted. (Debit cards do not work)
Invoice – Only possible for Swedish companies/organisations with a valid Swedish VAT number (Org.nr). Invoices should be paid within 30 days
If I can’t attend in-person, can I transfer my registration to virtual participation?
If participants cannot attend the congress, the registration is transferable to another member of their organization or transferred to a virtual participation. Substitution must be received in writing from the actual registrant. Please note that the modification will need to be approved by the congress organizers.
How is registration confirmed?
After completing registration, you will be routed to a confirmation page that will allow you to add the event to your calendar, print a receipt, and edit your registration. In addition, you will receive a confirmation email with your registration information.
What is included in the full registration fees?
The full registration fees include: attendance to all sessions (excluding workshops), conference material, lunches and refreshments in the breaks during the conference days. In addition to the Welcome reception and conference dinner.
What sessions will be virtual and live streamed?
All sessions will be livestreamed and video recordings shared after the conference. Check the detailed program for list of all sessions including those that are virtual.
How do I get around in Gothenburg?
Gothenburg is a very “green city” and getting around is easy there are trams and busses as well as bicycles to rent and even battery scooters. The venue is located comfortably within the central area of the city as are most of the hotels. Compared to some cities a lot in Gothenburg is within a healthy walking distance.

Can in-person attendees access the virtual sessions?
Yes, In-person participants can access the virtual sessions.
What is the registration cancellation policy?
The registration is binding, but may be transferred to another person of your organisation to a cost of SEK 250 excluding VAT. Please contact Meetx in writing via iassist2022@meetx.se. Let us know who is not attending, and who the registration should be transferred to. Include contact details to the new delegate.
What are the requirements to obtain a Swedish visa?
Basic information about visiting Sweden:
For a List of countries that require visas to enter the Schengen area (including Sweden)
Is it a requirement to test for Covid-19 to re-enter the US and other countries? If yes, how do we go about it?
To enter Sweden there are no longer any specific recommendations.
Departing Sweden you have to check the regulations for the country you enter/airline you travel with. For example entering the US you have to check the US requirements.
Where can I take a PCR or antibody test?
You can now book a time and take a PCR and antibody test as well as get a travel certificate issued at the airport, see https://www.swedavia.com/
How can I obtain an invitation letter?
If you require a letter of invitation for the conference, please send an email to the Programme Committee with your name, institution, mailing address and other contact details.
What is the hotel cost? How do I make a hotel reservation?
Sweden Meetx is the official provider of the hotel rooms for the conference delegates partaking in this year’s conference. Rooms can be reserved by visiting the 2022 Conference Accommodation page. Hotel bookings are made together with the registration to the conference. For further inquiries, Email: Sweden Meetx AB at iassist2022@meetx.se and Phone: +46 (0) 31 708 86 90. Bookings can be canceled free of charge 4 weeks prior to arrival date.
Is there any alternative accommodation?
Yes, if you want to stay in a hostel we recommend Lisebergsbyn. There are also a number of other options available in the city center. Please note that it is not possible to book hostels via the conference
What if I cannot attend the in-person conference, will there be an option to attend virtually?
Yes, for 2022 we are offering a Virtual Conference Registration as an option for all participants.
Which airport should I fly into?
International airport: Göteborg Landvetter (GOT).
Landvetter airport is located just 20 minutes away from the conference location, easy to reach by taxi or by airport bus (bus stop in front of the conference venue).
What social events can I attend?
Participants can attend Welcome reception, hosted by the City of Gothenburg and Conference Dinner is free of charge but mandatory pre-registration is required.
How can I receive regular updates about the conference?
Participants are required to subscribe to the Newsletter to receive regular updates.
